What's it all about?

Support the CEO and business in raising capital by identifying and securing additional sources of funding via grants or donations from all levels of government, SME’s, and Industry partners. Activities range from establishing new partnerships, monitoring grant progress, providing reporting and supporting evaluations, to capturing and sharing market information that provides inputs to strategic decision-making.

We encourage flexible working hours. However, this role will involve attending industry and partner events both online and in person.

What you’ll be responsible for

Grant Coordination and Management:

  • Liaise with the CEO, grant writers and industry partners to manage the grant submission process ensuring a 20% to 30% success rate of won grants

  • Research and aggregate a database of relevant grants and tenders which can be applied for and create a predictable timetable for submissions

  • Engage with contracted grant writers to ensure a detailed brief of each application

  • Ensure that grant submissions are tracked accurately and liaise with grant givers for feedback

  • Development of a mock grant template, and data set to simplify grant applications

  • Collate documentation about grant funding cycles

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain a database of business customers and partners which are pipelined and managed

  • Collating quality market intel through partner conversations (Academics and Emergency Services) to support the business in refining their market direction

  • Enhance the quality of existing relationships

  • Expose the Dandelions brand through advocacy, growing the business footprint

  • Represent Dandelions at relevant events and outreach activities to ensure opportunities are sought after and engaged with

  • Request and secure Letters of Support/ LOI/ LOS for new applications

About you

You will be a champion of our Vision and Purpose with genuine ambitions to see us succeed through our funding goals and partner with the CEO to lead relationships in the industry. If you are a self-starter with an engaging approach and customer-focused mindset, you will enjoy a busy role with many spinning plates. This role will suit someone working around the Tech, R&D, Human Services or Project Management space and looking to shift industry or join a scale-up

Experience

  • 2-5 years experience in a projects management, relationship management, business development or grant management-related role.

  • Some exposure to grant applications or tenders processes required

  • Ability to translate complex information to contextualise briefs

  • Experience as a grant giver or assessor is highly desirable

  • Experience within the Emergency Services or Telco industry is highly desirable

  • Experience working in a start-up environment is highly desirable

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
